A native of South Jersey and the diocese of Camden, Maggie Smith joined the Center for FaithJustice staff in July 2017. She is a parishioner of Christ Our Light in Cherry Hill and alumna of CFJ’s WorX programs, experiences she credits as the inspiration for the initial call she felt toward ministry work. Maggie completed her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University and holds a Master’s degree in Theology with a certificate in Pastoral Ministry from Villanova University.
Maggie’s many roles at CFJ opened her eyes and heart to the call to work for justice and peace in her local community and beyond. CFJ’s programs taught her not only how to work for change on a large scale, but also the small things she can do each day to show love, fight for justice, and spread the gospel message.
As the Director of Special Projects and WorX Programs, Maggie oversees the LeaderworX program, WorX content and curriculum, CFJ’s research & grant funded projects, and consultative partnerships.
